I was born in Lubbock, Texas in 1958 and raised down the road in Midland.

One of my earliest exposures to art was through an aunt who painted china.  She taught me this skill while I attended school in Lubbock.

I was inspired to eventually experiment with porcelain slips and mason stains with which to paint.

I really enjoy working in several different mediums, with watercolor, perhaps, being my favorite.  I love the thrill of 'drawing' with the paint and the challenge of the unforgiving medium.  I also like the immediacy of the work.

My shrines may incorporate some of my clay pieces, small drawings, and many times, 'found objects', to achieve deeper , multiple layers of expression for me.

I hope you enjoy my work!
